Laura Mangen is a community development and youth worker, group facilitator and photographer living and working on Gadigal and Wangal Land in Sydney, Australia.

Laura has had the privilege of walking alongside many diverse communities across Sydney. In recent years, she has worked predominately with young women and is passionate about creating spaces to connect, heal, advocate and express. She honours individual and collective wisdom, is passionate about decolonising the way we heal and fosters community through her therapeutic and creative project work.

As a photographer, Laura explores both film and digital formats. Her work focuses on her personal experiences with home and community, using her photography as a means to explore human connection and finding beauty in the details of the everyday and mundane. Laura is currently exploring the therapeutic benefits of portraiture - how we choose to share aspects of our identity and the experience of having witnesses to our self-expression.
